Pet Portrait Demo

I thought you'd like to see how a portrait progresses from start to finish. The better the photograph, the better the finished portrait. Here are a couple of examples, both in pastel and watercolor.

I start with a light pencil sketch and move immediately to a violet value rendering. I then add layers of color to enhance and give depth to the images.
